Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Impart, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
Description of Service
Impart is a voice journal application that allows parents and family members to record voice notes, life lessons, stories, and milestones for their children. The app stores data in your private iCloud account and supports sharing journals with invited family members. Impart is available on iPhone and iPad.
Purchases & Pricing
Impart offers the following one-time purchase options:
- Individual - Lifetime access for a single user
- Family - Lifetime access for you and your Apple Family Sharing group
All purchases are one-time payments processed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
Users who have purchased Individual access can upgrade to Family access at any time. Family Sharing is supported through Apple's built-in Family Sharing feature.
Impart includes a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, a purchase is required to continue creating new entries.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We may change pricing with advance notice. Price changes do not affect existing purchases.
User Content
You retain full ownership of all voice recordings, text entries, photos, and other content you create in Impart. Your content is stored in your private iCloud account. We do not have access to your content and do not claim any rights over it.
When you share a journal with family members, you grant those specific people access to view and contribute to that journal through Apple's CloudKit sharing. You can revoke access at any time.
Privacy & Data
Your privacy is fundamental to Impart. All user data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse-engineer or decompile the app
- Use automated systems to access the app in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

Impart, including its design, features, prompts, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content without our permission.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual entries, entire journals, or all data through the app at any time. Since your data is stored in your iCloud account, deletion is immediate and under your control. If you delete the app, your iCloud data may persist until you manually remove it from iCloud settings.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Impart and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that your data will never be lost. We recommend maintaining your own backups of important recordings.
